FLORENTINE PAPER MARBELING & BOOK BINDING
In the Middle Ages, Florentine artisans transformed the ancient Eastern art of paper marbling into something entirely their own, mysterious, mesmerising, and full of colour. At Reschio, one of the few remaining masters of this craft, descended from generations of bookbinders and paper marblers in Florence, guides guests through the magical process of floating inks on water and coaxing them into swirling, hypnotic patterns. It is a true joy for the eyes and hands, fascinating to watch, deeply satisfying to do, and almost impossible to get wrong. No two marbled papers are ever alike, and yours will be used to create a handmade notebook or journal to bring home. Don't forget to reserve your spot! Private lessons can also be arranged, depending on the teacher's availability
COMBINE WITH CALLIGRAPHY
After paper marbling, continue with calligraphy, guided by a master from Italy’s paper region. Use your handmade notebook to letter a phrase to keep. Private lessons available on request
