We Love the Golden Days and Starry Nights of Autumn

We love autumn at Reschio, it is our favourite time of year. The early rains rejuvenate the countryside, cloaking the meadows in fresh blossom and carpeting the woodland with delicate cyclamen. Many call it our second spring.

Morning mists hint at the season, but the sun soon burns through, lifting the last wisps from the high treetops. Warm days are spent dining on terraces, dipping toes into swimming pools, or riding out – whether on horseback or e-bike.

Nature is at its most abundant: plentiful wild figs, pomegranates, truffles and pumpkins. The race is on to gather walnuts before the wild boar come snuffling through the leaves. The Reschio team first focus on the grape harvest before moving into the olive groves. Soon our delicious oil is on the tables and in the Bottega.

As evening falls, fires are lit, indoors and out, while friends and family gather to chat. We love the clear nights with the galaxy of stars sparkling overhead.
